The Name
Wrong Envelope is named after the most infamous moment in Oscar history. At the 89th Academy Awards in 2017, the wrong envelope was handed to presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway. La La Land was briefly announced as Best Picture before the error was corrected on stage and Moonlight was declared the actual winner. It remains the most talked-about moment in the history of the ceremony.
